Welcome to Best Roofing’s Education Center. This is where you can empower yourself to make the best roofing decisions you can.  While roofing may not be rocket science, it is more complex than most people think it is. Only when people get involved with roofing do they start to understand the complexity and look for someone to get the knowledge from.

With that in mind, we have developed a series of Free educational classes and seminars that we offer at our corporate headquarters throughout the year.  We have put together various classes that are tailored to property managers, building owners, and facility maintenance personnel to assist them with everything from setting up a maintenance program, to the types of roofing systems available, to costs and budgets.

Through our engaging multi-media format, we make it easy for property managers to pick up your required CEU credits. Our seminars can be brought to your office and presented to groups of your managers at special events, or as part of your regularly scheduled management meetings. We offer many different delivery options to fit your needs.  The bottom line is we’ll make it work.

CLASSES:

Board Member Certification Class, (2 Hour Class), presented by Eric Glazer, P.A., of Glazer & Associates
Newly elected or appointed directors must submit a certificate of satisfactory completion of an educational course approved by the Florida DBPR, or an affidavit attesting that they read all of their governing documents. Attorney Eric Glazer, host of the weekly radio show Condo Craze and HOAs who has been practicing Florida association law since 1992, has been approved by the division to certify new directors throughout Florida and teach them about their responsibilities under Florida law regarding such topics as Budgets and Reserves, Financial Reporting, Condominium Operations, Records Maintenance, access to records, Dispute Resolution and more. In addition, highlights of the new condominium laws will also be taught in detail.

Electrical Savings 101, presented by Elcon Electric ( 1 CAM CEU)
This course will provide you with a basic understanding of electrical energy conservation, advantages and how to improve our environment (LED lighting, power optimization, green technology). Additional topic of discussion is identifying potential electrical hazards.

Plumbing Systems 101, presented by Douglas Orr Plumbing ( 1 CAM CEU)
This course provides a basic overview of Backflow preventers (maintenance and annual certification), pressure reducing valves (purpose and proper pressures), pumps/lift stations, basic plumbing systems, drain cleaning and safety.  You will come away from the class with a basic understanding of the plumbing systems in your building and how to mitigate damages and repairs to them through proper maintenance.

Introduction to Commercial Roofing 101, presented by Best Roofing( 1 CAM CEU)
Through this course you will gain a basic understanding of the principles relating to roofing and their relationship to property management.  You will learn how to determine where your roof is in respect to its life cycle and how to manage roof-related decisions.  Additionally, we will cover how to set up a maintenance program, hurricane preparedness, costs and budgets, types of roofing systems and energy savings.

Basic ADA Regulations & How They Pertain to Parking Lots, presented by Driveway Maintenance ( 1 CAM CEU)
This course explains the current laws as it pertains to parking lots. You will come away with the ability to recognize areas where you can make improvements in order to help accommodate persons with disabilities in your condominiums, HOA’s and apartment complexes.

Disaster Preparedness 101, presented by Service Master 247 ( 1 CAM CEU)
Participants will learn the steps to take before a weather or non-weather related disaster event to minimize damage. You will learn a basic understanding on preventive measures to mitigate the destructive effects in the event of a catastrophe.  We will also cover water damage, mold remediation, and hurricane preparedness for condos.
