BARRY UNIVERSITY HEALTH AND SPORTS CENTER

Founded in 1940 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Barry University's growth throughout the years has been shaped by their core values and is one of the leading centers for education in South Florida. Recently the university contacted Best Roofing to do some work on their Health and Sports Center Building. The building houses the Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences which offers various undergraduate and graduate programs of study. The 15,286 sq. ft. building accommodates teams, spectators, students, faculty, coaches, state-of-the-art laboratories and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is housed there too.

Best Roofing was awarded the job to completely remove and replace the building's roof. The roof was completely redone in a Soprema Modified Bitmuen roof system with a 3.5 polyiso. The building has a 20 year NDO and was finished in two months and on budget. The biggest challenge for the working crew was to work around the schedule of the students with minimum sound, so that it wouldn't disturb their various classes.
