On December 15, 2010, the Miami warehouse building at 7000 NW 33rd Terrace closed at a purchase price of $7.65 million, making it the largest sale of the year in Miami-Dade County for an owner-user of an industrial warehouse.

But before any tenants can move in, the 127,010 square foot warehouse needed a new roof installed. The buyers, Sandra and Isaac Lapciuc of Del Valle Brands, turned to Best Roofing for a roof replacement. Due to time restraints of moving into the new building, Best Roofing conducted the entire project - from securing permits to materials and construction - under 30 days. Construction for the roofing project began on Monday, January 3, 2011 and was completed on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. "The team at Best Roofing has been very professional. We've received great response and great customer service," stated Sandra Lapciuc, CFO of Del Valle Brands.

Best Roofing replaced the building's old asphalt roof with a white highly reflective roofing system. "White roofs are highly reflective which allow for cooler and more consistent temperature control. Many companies are taking advantage of FPL incentive programs that help them pay for the installation of a white reflective roofing system, stated Gregg Wallick, President & CEO of Best Roofing. FPL offers rebates of up to $0.50 per square foot of reflective roofing by installing light-colored metal roofs, rubber-like or thermoplastic reflective membranes or reflective coatings that are Energy Star Compliant. "For companies looking to save on energy costs, it's a great solution because of the reduced need for air conditioning," concluded Wallick.
