Christ Church in Miami contracted Best Roofing to tear off  approximately19,500 sq. ft. of tile and replace with a metal roofing system on their slopped roof.  As we talked about in a previous post, metal roofs are a great alternative to tile. They are easy to maintain, have great energy savings, and will not rot, crack, split, break, or burn.  Best Roofing tore off the existing tile roof system down to the existing plywood deck and re-nailed the existing deck as per the building code. We mechanically attached the underlayment as per the manufacturer's specifications and in accordance with building code.  We installed the new metal roofing system panels (18” wide, 24 gauge, galvanized Kynar, Bone White, finish standing seam) & trim material mechanically anchored with screws per the manufacturers specifications and in accordance with the building code. We finished by flashing all penetrations through the deck as well as the steeple to the new roof system in a watertight manner.  We hauled away all debris following the installation and concluded by providing  a twenty (20) year manufactures material warranty that covered chalking, fading, and film integrity;  a five (5) year labor and material warranty from Best Roofing and warranted the steeple for two (2) years.
