The New Addition for HOPE South Florida
HOPE South Florida is a Christian- based organization that offers support services to the homeless in our community. The goal is to provide hope to the homeless and hurting in Broward County. With the help of local churches, the Stacy Foundation and Best Roofing- the organization has added a mobile shower unit. In addition to the HOPE bus, the mobile shower will meet the ongoing needs of the homeless. Dr. Fred Scarbrough, Founder and Chairman of the Board, described the mobile shower unit as- “29.5 foot long air conditioned/ heated trailer equipped with six private showers/bath/changing area combination rooms, providing men, women and children a one stop place to take a fresh shower”. Best Roofing assisted with the logistics with delivery and parking of the unit. On February 22- HSF hosted a Press Conference to showcase the new mobile shower unit. Every Tuesday the team travels around Broward County supplying meals and hot showers to people in need. The goal of Rev. Dr. Ted Greer, Jr. goal is to continue to empower the members of our community by reestablishing stability. Along with a fresh shower, HSF also provides clean clothes and personal toiletries.
