Best Roofing Launches a New Website Dedicated to Hurricane Preparedness
Specifically Geared Towards Property Managers, Condo Boards, and Commercial Property Owners
A new website on hurricane preparedness with pertinent information specifically tailored toward Condo’s, Property Managers, and Commercial property owners is now live!
The launch of the new website, hurricaneready.org, which offers quick and easy access to essential information on hurricane preparedness for condos, property managers, and commercial building owners is the brainchild of Best Roofing and their industry partners: Elcon Electric, Douglas Orr Plumbing, East Coast Public Adjusters, and MaxPro Builders. “As commercial contractors we noticed that there didn’t seem to be one “place” for property managers, condo boards, or commercial property owners to access information on hurricane preparedness- particularly online,” states Kathleen Lowe, Marketing Director for Best Roofing. “While there are many published guides and sections on emergency preparedness websites for businesses, I couldn’t find one central website that addresses the concerns and precautions for commercial and condo audiences. The steps that a condominium or commercial business must take in hurricane preparation is quite involved- from facility maintenance, to making sure you have the proper insurance documents, to having a list of emergency vendors. With hurricaneready.org, we pulled together vital information specific for these audiences and divided the website into three sections: Condo Boards, Property Managers, Commercial Businesses,” she concluded.
The website boasts a modern, clean design and contains additional information such a Resource Page- one page of important links that is organized by the three counties (Miami Dade/Broward/Palm Beach) as well as containing national links to FEMA, The Red Cross, and NOAA. One of the unique features of the site is that it incorporates a blog. “The purpose of having a blog built into the site is for posting weekly tips on roofing, electrical, plumbing, and insurance information from our commercial partners,” states Kathleen, “Each of the companies who partnered with Best Roofing are all industry leaders in their respective fields and have a wealth of knowledge on hurricane preparedness for this audience. By using a blog format readers can subscribe to our RSS feed, receive a weekly “tip” or article right to their email inbox, as well as join in on the conversation,” she stated.
The website’s user-friendly nature provides users with more efficient access to hurricane preparedness resources. Other functions include real-time weather updates, a twitter feed on hurricane preparedness, and vendor information.
“Best Roofing has a policy of always taking the time to educate our customers- we do this continually throughout the year with our Commercial Roofing 101 classes, our Hurricane Preparedness class, and through our blog and website, continues Kathleen, “creating this site is just one more degree of education for our customers- sharing the knowledge are an integral part of the services all of the companies involved in the development of hurricaneready.org offer. After all, we are more than just vendors. As contractors, we are often required to provide project management, and even consulting, to help ensure the success of a project,” she concluded.
You can access the website at www.hurricaneready.org. In addition, all five vendors will have a link to the information on the front page of their websites.
